E- Learning seminars about dementia
The National Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Greek Association of the Alzheimer’s disease organize e-seminars about dementia.
These seminars interdisciplinary approach dementia and address both to health professionals, caregivers or to others interested in the subject. In the context of the seminars the physical, psychological and social consequences of dementia are presented and discussed. Furthermore, the most recent proposals concerning the pharmaceutical and non- pharmaceutical treatment of the disease will be presented as well as how caregivers and family can look after the patients. The speakers are professionals in the health sector -neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists,
Psychologists, speech therapists, physiotherapists etc with extensive experience and expertise in dementia and neurodegenerative diseases. Classes are held every Monday 8-9a.m., Thursday 8-9a.m, Friday 4-6p.m and will last until June 2011. Trainees can attend the courses either online the moment the class takes place or by downloading them in their computers after the course is over.
